Scott Hanson

President

Before launching CrossCover, Scott was the Chief Underwriting Officer, Chief Capacity Officer, and a partner at AmRisc, LLC, in Houston. He was responsible for the profitability of a $800M premium book of E&S business and 60 Underwriters. As Chief Capacity Officer, he increased the per-risk line from $25M to $500M and the portfolio PML from $250M to $3B.

Prior to AmRisc, Scott was co-founder and Chief Property Underwriter for Aspen Specialty Insurance Company, in Boston, where he developed a $110M book of E&S business. He also was Chief Property Underwriter at GE Employers Re, where he was accountable for a $600M property book that achieved a $100M premium growth at 40% reduced loss ratio. Scott was also the co-founder of Property for XL Capital in Bermuda and a Loss Specialist and Large Loss Investigator for Factory Mutual Engineering Assoc.

Brett Dupre

Director of Underwriting and Speciality Division Manager

Brett brings more than 30 years of insurance engineering and underwriting experience to CrossCover with a specialty in industrial, manufacturing, and high hazard occupancies. His most recent roles were CEO of AmRisc Wholesale overseeing all E&S property lines. Before that, Brett developed a profitable industrial and manufacturing E&S book of more than $200M GWP. Prior to joining AmRisc, Bretts’ experience was in the global property risk arena with FM Global. In addition to loss control engineering, loss investigations, underwriting and reinsurance, Brett spearheaded underwriting, marketing and product development efforts in the high hazard occupancies sector for FM Global.

Sam McBirney

Director of General Property Division

As a former partner and Division President of General Property, Sam oversaw habitational and retail business at AmRisc. He has more than 40 years of insurance experience. Prior to his role in AmRisc, Sam held executive and/or underwriting roles at AIG-Lexington, Chubb Custom, and a Lloyds MGU facility.

Mason Rudloff

Director of Technology

Mason served 15 years at AmRisc, most recently as Architect of Underwriting Systems and manager of a 33-member IT Team. He has more than 15 years of insurance technology and CAT modeling experience.

Wes Hickman

Director of Business Development

Prior to joining CrossCover, Wes was a top sales producer for Bold Penguin, a leading commercial lines insurance technology company. His background is in commercial E&S property working on the National Accounts team at AmRisc, AmWINS wholesale in Atlanta, and with the Houston retail team at Lockton.

Nokukhanya (Noku) Dlamini

Underwriter

Noku joins CrossCover after building a track record of delivering coverage and exposure analysis in the commercial space. She previously served for the past four years as senior commercial underwriter at Orchid Insurance. Noku began her underwriting career at Houston-based Starr Companies and has also served at CRC Insurance Services in Houston. Relationship building is her forte.

Stephen Bell

Underwriting Assistant

Stephen joins CrossCover as an Underwriter Assistant after working in Quality Control of Natural Gas Pipeline Operations for over 10 years. His personable skills and work ethic led him to CrossCover.

Brittany Blackstock comes to CrossCover with 9 years of Personal and Commercial Lines Insurance experience. She has joined CrossCovers team as an Underwriter Assistant.
